Poison Guide
Throughout the world there are a number of poisonous variations of plants. Skilled individuals known as Herbalist have actually found ways to turn these nature born creations into powerful tools. A truly skilled individual who have dedicated their life to the art of poison, can wield even the rarest components of poison and create powerful toxins, sometimes even fatal. Below is a list of what poisonous plants a herbalist has the knowledge needed to use.
'Low Tier Poisons' (Anyone can use these in combat)
Poison Usage - Up to 2 low tier poisons can be used at once, enhancing their normal effects. For each additional ingredient used, the poison lasts an additional turn up to 2 turns (This means using 1 poison lasts 1 turn, but using 2 poisons in a mixture lasts 2 turns max) All poisons can be applied and used on its own in combat but last only one turn, having to be reapplied ICly after being successfully used (Successful hit is considered someone taking 1 damage or more, the poison effect will then be applied).
Poison Mushroom - Causes body functions to slow down (-1 movement tile)
Poison Berries - Causes internal bleeding. (-2 health)
Poison Root - Causes fatigue. (-1 stamina)
Poison Fungi - Causes motor skill issues. (Roots target)
(These are plants that can be grown in game.)
Example Uses:
Poison Berries = -2 Health for 1 turn
Poison Mushroom + Poison Root = -1 movement tile; -1 stamina; 2 turn duration
Poison Mushroom x2 = -2 movement tile; Lasts 2 turns
Poison Root x2 = -2 Stamina; Lasts 2 turns
'Mid Tier Poisons' (Requires Herbalist perk to create mid tier poisons but not to use them)
Poison Usage - Mid Tier Poisons say specifically how they work upon creation. Most are not poisons that can stack... and some are.
(These are player created poisons that they can use for themselves or share with others.)
'High Tier Poisons' (Requires Master Herbalist perk to use in combat)
Poison Usage - High Tier Poisons can only be used alone, one at a time, incapable of stacking effects.
Stingray Tail - Causes pain, swelling, muscle cramps from the venom. (Deals 10 damage ignoring endurance and roots the victim for 2 turns)
Scorpion Venom - Lethal venom primarily to paralyze their prey. (Deals 10 damage ignoring endurance and paralyzes the target for 1 turn)
King Cobra Venom - Attacks the nervous system and causes paralysis. (1 Turn paralyze, followed by a root on the turn afterwards)
Blue-Ringed Octopus Tentacle - Causes severe and total body paralysis. (Paralyzes the target for 2 turns)
Rattlesnake Venom - Destroys tissue, degenerates organs and disrupts blood clotting. (Deals 20 damage ignoring endurance)
(These are rare items found in events. One time use. Can only be used by people with the Master Herbalist Perk.)
IMPORTANT: To use a poison you should first RP applying it to a weapon, drink, injection, etc. Once you rp it and then you successfully inflict the poison in some way on your target, you THEN click the poison(s) used. Once the poison is clicked it will display its effects to the surrounding area and then delete itself. Be very careful not to click poisons until after its effects are applied in RP. This method is to prevent poison being used in an unlimited amount for obvious reasons.
