PP/RPP
On this game there will be two forms of 'currency’ for perks. We have Player Points (PP) and Role Play Points (RPP). PP we all should be familiar with for the most part. They are points obtained from daily activity, on a timed system that scales. Higher your max PP, the lower your daily PP amount will be.
RPP is a new system to NC which rewards players for going above and beyond. The RPP global cap is 2 to start the wipe and goes up +2 every week. This means that no mater when you join the server, or if you say take a week or two off, you can still earn up to whatever the global cap is over time. Here are a brief list of some ways in which RPP can be gained;
- Attending Events (Not Guaranteed but if you stand out, you may be rewarded)
- Being the best in your craft (The most known/utilized Armor Smith, Weapon Smith, Medic, Herbalist, etc.)
- Creating and/or impacting greatly a story line (Be it player or admin made)
- Motioning for RPP at the end of a week (*See below)
We plan to go away from the traditional weekend log checks. We believe that unless one specific individual does them all, there is always a possibility of differing opinions that effect a players overall gain.
That being said RPP can/will be given on the spot when appropriate. If you join an event and an admin sees you as a stand out participant, you will receive the message that you were rewarded 1 RPP. If an admin is on their normal character and watching an armor smith work on half of the villages requests, you could see a message saying that you were rewarded 1 RPP. This is what we feel is best for both the players and the admins.
*Should the weekend come and your character had only earned 0-1 RPP, you can submit an application ‘motioning for RPP’ (will be added to the applications section). In this application you can summarize (really summarize, no need to paste long logs) what you have done in the past week that you feel warrants a reward of RPP. Admins will then review logs on our end and should at least one admin agree it is deserved, said player will gain anywhere from 1 to a max of 6 RPP (RPP Scales) through this method. Simple as that.
Now on to the good stuff. Perks!
Perks
Every character should have their own story. Their own feel. Not all Hyuuga should be the same. Not all Uchiha should be edgy. Not all tai specs should be a knock off Rock Lee. This wipe we will be introducing a perk system that is focused around making your character feel like an authentic piece of art. We do this with three perk umbrellas; High Tier Perks, Abnormal Perks, and Personality Perks. Every character can have a max of 1 perk from each of these lists, as shown below, so please choose wisely. These perks all provide in combat advantages in their own right, however they also are in some ways an extension of your character out of combat.
In addition to the umbrellas above, we also have Rare Ability Perks which we think speak for themselves, among a few other less rare options.
(Non-Clans will be able to create KKG with admin approval so long as they have Element Prof II for all elements needed to create said KKG. This means if you are a non-clan with Fuuton Prof II and Katon Prof II, yes, you can apply for Scorch Release; and if approved it will cost 20pp and 6 RPP. Not every non-clan will be approved for KKG, for obvious reasons)
Below are a list of all the perk umbrellas (not including Clan/Specialist Perks) available, their cost per perk (PP and/or RPP), and how many from each umbrella a single character can have;
Legendary Blades
Requires the respective Blade. Costs 15 PP. All Legendary Blade Perks give +10 Stamina in addition to its effects.
